Summer reading program starts this week in Churdan

All Aboard! The Churdan library will chug into another summer reading program as children and staff “Explore New Paths at Your Library.”

Each Wednesday youngsters will explore a new topic, beginning with trains on June 14 and continuing each Wednesday through July 19.  The toddler program will be at 9 am, followed by preschool story time at 9:30. The afternoon program will be at 1:30 pm for school-aged children. Reading Buddies will be at 2:45.

Children may attend any or all of the story time programs, but the activities will be appropriate for the age of each program.

Parents who want more information can call the library at 515-389-3423. “We hope everyone gets on the right track to reading this summer,” a library spokesperson said.

The summer reading program is sponsored by Communities 4 Children and Community Partnerships for Protecting Children neighborhood/Community Network Mini Grants.
